The Blackstone Junior High School Forensics team placed 3rd in competition back in the Spring of 1978 — 47 years ago. Blackstone winners from left included Jackie Young (3rd in Poetry Reading); Lynne Lawrence (1st in Extemporaneous Speaking); Alison Wilborn & Pam Boelte (1st in Affirmative Debating); and Stanley Reekes, 1st in After Dinner Speaking. And yes, that appears to be a KISS rock band tee-shirt worn by Lynne!
