Damage but no injuries Sunday

Blackstone Police are investigating a daytime drive-by shooting over the weekend.

Lt. Tony Mayton reports that officers responded at 1:44 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12th, to 201 North Dillard Street.

Mayton said two apparent rounds struck the side of “Apt. A” and that six shell casings of two different calibers were discovered in the roadway in the 300 block of Tavern Street.

According to Mayton, residents said several different makes and models of vehicles had been seen leaving the area before officers arrived.

Mayton said no one was home when the apartment was shot. He also said no one at the scene could identify any persons possibly involved. Anyone with information is asked to call Blackstone Police at 434-292-3322.
